Pinopela and Baihana brings AKAPELA concert to Baguio

Last April, PINOPELA, together with the female Jazz group BAIHANA, held a fund raising concert dubbed as AKAPELA to support them as they compete in the 2016 A Capella Championships in Singapore. The group didn't disappoint the fans because they went home last July as the Overall Champion of the prestigious competition.

Participated by several a capella groups and choirs from Singapore and other parts of the world, the competition had four different categories: Ensemble Categories (High School, College, Open, International), Choir Category, Beatbox Battle, and Loop Station Competition. At the end of the competition, PINOPELA successfully bagged a total of four awards namely:

1. International Category Champion
2. Judges' Choice Awardee/Overall Champion,
3. Most Impressive Vocalist (Anthony Castillo)
4. Gold in Looping Category (Pinopela’s former beatboxer Zsaris Mendioro)

This September, experience another world-class performance as Pinopela and Baihana bring the very successful AKAPELA concert to Baguio. 

The group will be doing a series of shows on September 23 and 24 at the Center for Culture and the Arts Theatre in Saint Louis University, where the members of Pinopela started.
