Watching the news on Super Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan’s aftermath is truly heartbreaking. We’ve seen movies and heard stories about destruction, and, after seeing the images of what this super typhoon has brought to our country, it just made me realize that everything really is possible.
Pledges from the international community are overwhelming. With all that has happened for the past months and the issues that our country is facing, I just hope these donations reach those who REALLY need it. Telethons, relief goods repacking, fundraising drives, and many more are also being initiated by different groups. So, how can we, in our own little way, help those who have been greatly affected? Time, effort, and prayers are just some of the simple things we can share to all who suffered this disaster.
