Beeffalo by Hotrocks

Beeffalo by Hotrocks is one of the newest restaurants to try in Antipolo. We wanted to try something new and I happened to see this while browsing through my Zomato account for nearby restaurants. Food looks delicious and it's got good reviews too so we decided to give it a try.

Beeffalo by Hotrocks is located in M.L. Quezon Street, San Roque, Antipolo City, just infront of the Antipolo Doctors Hospital. The restaurant looks very inviting from the outside and the interiors provide a complete feel to an American steakhouse.

Here's what we had:

SEAFOOD & CORN CHOWDER SOUP

It's just like a regular crab and corn soup added with seafood and cream. It worked for me though. I'm not a fan of soups but this one's

BEEFFALO WINGS

It's available in Original Buffalo Style that is hot and spicy or the Sweet Style. We split our order into two flavors so we can try both. I just don't like dip. Hope they have an alternative dip for those who aren't fans of blue cheese.

JACK DANIEL'S COUNTRY STYLE PORK RIBS

This one's perfect for sharing. The meat is perfectly marinated and cooked. The liquor though is too apparent in every bite so I'd rather eat it without dipping.

GARLIC SHRIMP PASTA

It's so creamy and garlicky! Just what I love in my pasta.

Overall, we were very satisfied with our visit. This restaurant is such a great discovery and will definitely be included in our list of go-to restaurants in Antipolo.

Cafe Pinto by Peppermill

Cafe Pinto by Peppermill is just one of the 3 restaurants you’ll find inside the Pinto Art Museum. I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant because of the enticing photos I’m seeing online. When I finally got a chance to visit one of the tourist destinations in Antipolo, I told myself I just can’t leave the place without trying what this restaurant has to offer.

The ambiance is just as cozy and the design is consistent being inside a museum. Art pieces are everywhere so you won't get bored waiting for your order.

As for the food, Cafe Pinto has so much to offer! It's a fusion restaurant so you won't have any problems whether you're craving for a Filipino, Mexican, Italian, Mediterranean, or American cuisines. I've read really good reviews of their menu so I didn't have second thoughts spending just to satisfy my palette. If you’re in a group, I would advise that you order different dishes and have it for sharing. Their serving is quite generous anyway.

For this trip, we only had four items and I'd definitely come back to try out their other dishes. So, here's what I've tried:

Thai Bagoong Rice with Sweet Pork

It's a Thai Fried Rice topped with green mango slices and onions. It's perfectly paired with thinly sliced sweet pork.

Callos

This famous Filipino-Spanish dish has beef, pork, ox-tripe, garbanzos, and chorizo is just perfect with a cup of steamed rice. The ingredients, especially the ox-tripe, are so tender it'll almost melt in your mouth!

Santorini Pasta

If you're a seafood lover, this dish is definitely a must-try! It's a penne pasta covered with tomato cream and crabmeat. The rock shrimps are also well-distributed and it's more than enough so every bite is truly a seafoodgasm!

Bourbon Lime BBQ Chicken Pizza

The sweetness of the BBQ Chicken complements the saltiness of the mozzarella and cheddar cheese that's melted to perfection! I also love it's crispy thin, freshly oven-baked thin crust.

Raspberry House Blend Iced Tea

It's so refreshing to have a sip after long hours of endless walking!

Everything costs around Php 1,500. It may seem a bit pricey but, believe me, every peso is totally worth every bite! It's not something that you can have everyday so might as well give it a go!

Wanna try the food but no time to visit the Pinto Art Museum? Cafe Pinto is catered by Peppermill and you may also find them in Katipunan, Quezon City.

PHOTOWALK: A Day at the Pinto Art Museum

Aside from the famous Hinulugang Taktak, Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Shrine, delicacies like suman and kasoy, there's so much to discover in the beautiful city of Antipolo. One of which is the, now popular and one of the top tourist destinations in the city, the Pinto Art Museum

I've been seeing great posts about this museum and heard a lot of good things about it. Spending a day at the museum is just a confirmation for me that all the good things I've read about this place online is true. It is indeed a paradise for all the art and nature lovers out there. Everywhere you look is a feast to the eye. You'll be morphed to a place that's totally different from what a city has to offer.

The Pinto Art Museum is located at Sierra Madre St., Grand Heights, Antipolo, Rizal. They are open Tuesdays to Sundays, from 9am to 6pm.

Entrance tickets are available at Php180 for regular ticket, Php150 for senior citizens and PWD with valid IDs, and Php100 for children and students with proper school IDs.

Here are some helpful tips for first-timers:
  • If you're going on commute, you may take a tricycle from Antipolo Church for Php40.
  • Recommended time of visit is as early as 9am or in the afternoon. It can be exhausting if you'll tour the place while the sun is at it's peak.
  • You'll be walking around a 1.3-hectare property so be at your most comfortable clothes! There are beds and couches scattered around the place though should you feel the need to rest and enjoy the view.
  • Every corner is picture perfect and "Instagrammable". Yes, you're allowed to bring your cameras inside. However, if you're planning to do a photoshoot inside, they do charge for that and it's by reservation.
  • They have 3 cafes/restaurants inside just in case you get hungry. Some may find the menu a bit pricey, but I'm telling you, it sure is worth every bite! Check out my review of the Cafe Pinto by Peppermill.
  • Do not rush. Take time to appreciate every well-crafted masterpiece that you can find in the museum.
Now, be transported to this secret hideaway of beautiful artworks as you browse through these pictures I took during the tour:
