With her busy schedule, Julie Anne San Jose, whose birthday was last May 17, only got to celebrate it last May 25 at Dreamplay in City of Dreams. It was such a meaningful day for her as she spent it with the kids from Virlanie Foundation, a non-profit organization that caters to street children in the Philippines.
Before enjoying the activities in Dreamplay, Julie Anne got to bond with the kids through a short program that Dreamplay has prepared for everyone. Even if I was there just observing, I can't help but smile seeing the kids having, probably, the best day of their life. Watching them having fun with the games, sharing stories and eating in the same table with their idol is just priceless.
Of course the fun didn't stop there. What's a birthday party without blowing of the cake right? Julie Anne and the kids were surprised by two very special guests: Shrek and Princess Fiona! They joined the celebrant as she thanked everyone, made her wish , and blew her birthday cake.
With all the good things happening on her studies and career, this is probably the best birthday she have had according to Julie Anne. She is very excited for the future: a new album will be released around first week of June, a tour of her very successful concert, and she's also planning to continue her studies then eventually teach in college.
