In the last
World Beer Cup, Hoegaarden bested 77 other witbier brands and bagged the Gold Award in the Belgian-Style Witbier Category. The World Beer Cup is a competition that takes place every two years where beers around the world are evaluated and recognized by an international panel of 253 beer judges from 31 different countries. With a total of 6,596 beer entries, it is considered as the "Olympics of Beer Competition" participated by 1,907 breweries from 55 countries.

Hoegaarden is different by nature.
