St. Peter Life Plans partners with Breakout Philippines in celebration of the DeathCare Week

Remember that viral story where a little girl was said to be showing up in one of the rooms and that they had to close the place for two months and invite some paranormal experts to have a look on what's happening?

Last Saturday, me and my friends went to Breakout Philippines and tried to solve the mystery behind the death of this little girl in the Hide and Seek room. The room is filled with puzzles that we need to solve in order to escape the room. There are also clues hidden everywhere that helped us in unfolding the mystery.

As much as I want to share the whole experience, I don't want to spoil the fun to those who haven't tried the room yet.

We may have not successfully escaped the room, but we sure did have a lot of fun solving the mystery behind the little girl's death. Here are some tips and lessons learned that you may also find handy when trying out the escape rooms at Breakout Philippines:

  1. Work as a team and listen to each other's ideas.
  2. Do not overthink! There are some things that you might find as a clue, but didn't actually have to do with solving the puzzles.
  3. Always follow the light (at least for the Hide and Seek Room) - this actually makes solving easier because you are guided to where you should be going and looking for solutions
  4. If you are gifted with some paranormal ability, just keep whatever to yourself.
  5. It isn't scary at all. If you're hesitant in trying the escape room because you are scared, forget it! Take it from someone who easily gets scared at almost anything. ;)

And you know what we missed doing? PLAN. In situations like this, planning would have definitely helped us prepare for whatever we're getting ourselves into.
