Go blemish-free with this lightweight Face Republic skincare trio

Acne and blemishes have always been my issue ever since. I really hate it when I am having breakouts because it really takes so much time to heal. What's more annoying is, just when I thought I am finally about to get rid of those huge red bumps on my face, here comes a few more dots starting to show up as if getting ready for the next wave.

I have already tried a lot of products and only a few worked. I am actually still in search of a product that consistently works and, fingers crossed, I really hope this is finally it!

Face Republic has a wide range of skincare products available in the market and these three are perfect for pimple-prone skins. Now let's get them to test!

First in our list is the Face Republic AHA/BHA toner. What I have noticed in most products for acne-prone skin is the presence of AHA/BHA. So I did a little research and, apparently, the AHA (or alpha hydroxy acid) is actually good for dry skin, while the BHA (or beta hydroxy acid) is best for acne-prone skin as it removes dead skin cells and clears our pores.

What I first noticed is that it doesn't have a smell so it's just like you're applying water on your face. I have tried some toners which has a very strong smell that tends to be irritating my nose so this product being fragrant-free is a plus for me. Upon application, it felt a bit sticky but then leaves a smooth feel a couple of minutes after.

After using the AHA/BHA toner, I then applied the Face Republic CICA Gel Moisturizer. What I don't like about most skincare products is when they feel heavy on my face especially when it is humid. This moisturizer doesn't give me that heavy feel so I'm happy with this one! That said, I can definitely use this every day. Besides, I am not getting any younger so I have to take moisturizing seriously to help reduce wrinkles and other signs of aging. Yes?

The Face Republic CICA Gel Moisturizer contains Centella Asiatica Extract and Tea Tree Oil, which helps ease skin inflammation while healing small wounds and acne scars. I have tried and tested tea tree oil before and it works for me so I am pretty positive this item will really help my skin recover from breakouts.

The next and final item I am using is the Face Republic Calming Blemish Madeca Serum. I have a really good experience with using serums so I am really excited about this one!

The Face Republic Calming Blemish Madeca Serum helps soothe troubled skin and blemishes with madecassoside and tea tree extracts. Just like me, this might also be your first time hearing about madecassoside so I did a quick search and found out that it is one of the biologically active components of Centella Asiatica - an ingredient that is also used in CICA Gel Moisturizer. They say it is also good for healing wounds, skin-soothing, and an antioxidant, so this item is perfect to cap this trio skincare set.

I tried applying this before sleeping (although I think this is supposed to be a daytime serum LOL) and I just love the glow effect when I woke up. It doesn't feel sticky and it is very lightweight, which is a big plus!

Since I have just tried these products for a couple of days, honestly, I can't really say as early as now if they are 100% effective in getting rid of blemishes and acne scars. But them being lightweight and not leaving a sticky feeling on my face, I definitely recommend giving this trio a try!
