Starmobile Knight Elite Hands-on Experience

The Starmobile Knight Elite is, by far, the most elegant looking Starmobile unit I should say. It's unibody sports a Corning Gorilla Glass both in the front and back of the unit that doesn't just make it scratch resistant, but also makes it look "elite". It's also super thin (6.85mm) and very light weight yet carries with it a powerful specs you want in a smartphone.

INSIDE THE BOX: Phone unit, Charger, Headset, SIM Ejector, Warranty Card, Quick Start Guide, back case + 2 screen protectors
Giving a smooth navigation and usage of this phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 Chipset, 1.5GHz Quad + 1.0GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex A53 (64-bit Octa Core) processor, and 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. With almost a month of HEAVY usage, I never experienced a lag while playing my favorite games or switching between and using my favorite apps simultaneously.

Both the volume keys and the power key are located on the left side of the unit
Battery wise, the Starmobile Knight Elite has a built-in 2600mAh Li-Po battery that lasts up to 9 hours. I prefer a removable battery though so I can change it anytime needed instead of using it while connected to a powerbank. I just find it inconvenient. Another thing that I don't like about it is that the unit heats up quite fast. It has a Battery Guru app built-in to analyze how you use your phone to reduce unnecessary activities but installing a more detailed third-party battery optimizer/manager app may also come in handy.

Speakers found out the bottom of the unit
As for the built-in speakers, I find it a bit weak so if you're up for a sound trip using this phone, you might want to connect it to a good speaker.

If you're into dual-SIM smartphones, this phone supports a Micro and Nano SIM. However, the Nano SIM Slot also functions as an SD Card slot so it may be a disappointment for some because you still have to choose whether using your other SIM or expanding your phone memory to up to 32GB with micro SD card.

What I love most about the new Starmobile Knight Elite is the camera that produces stunning quality photos. Both the 13MP rear cam and 5MP front cam features a LED flash so shooting in low-light areas shouldn't be a problem anymore. Here are some sample shots:

The built-in Star Camera includes 3 exclusive functions that will surely take your photos to the new level:

ReFocus
It lets you choose the focal point of your shot.

Chroma Flash
Perfect for taking photos in low-light environments. It takes two photos, one with flash and one without then combines them into a single photo.

Opti Zoom
Shoots multiple photos simultaneously to ramp up the texture and sharpness of your zoomed-in photos.

Overall, I'm really happy and satisfied with the new Starmobile Knight Elite. The issues I have with it are just minor and are definitely manageable.
