Keep Your Eyes Protected While Staying Connected With Crizal Eyezen

In this age of technology, everyone is hooked on different kinds of devices like laptops, mobile phones, or tablets. These devices has now become part of our lifestyle. Whether at work or on a regular day, these devices get us digitally connected with everyone.

With so many digital devices out there, people are now engaged in a digital behavior called "multi-screening". It is when one uses multiple devices simultaneously (GUILTY HERE!). Based on studies, a user typically spends 7 hours and 24 minutes of screen media per day (in my case, it's around 15 hours per day) and the longer we expose our eyes to such devices, the more chances our eyes are getting damaged.

Essilor, the global leader in opthalmic lenses, has designed a new range of lenses that will protect our eyes from the harmful blue light while staying connected to the digital word. The Crizal Eyezen lenses are designed to replace ordinary prescription lenses or to assist occasionally the ones who usually do not need glasses, when viewing their digital devices. Since our vision tends to deteriorate as we age, the Crizal Eyezen lenses come in three different optimizations that are based on the patient’s age. And to achieve the protection our eyes need, Crizal Eyezen has incorporated these three revolutionary technologies:

  • Eyezen Focus Technology - It helps relieve the eye’s focus when using digital devices and reduces eye strain
  • Light Scan Technology - A unique light filtering technology that protects our eyes from the harmful blue-violet light emitted by digital screens
  • W.A.V.E. Technology - Eliminates lens distortion for sharper, clearer vision at every distance and better vision even in low light

According to the doctor who introduced me to the new Crizal Eyezen, eyeglasses nowadays are not just for people with poor eyesight. And I totally agree! Working infront of a computer, or browsing through your mobile phones, or even watching TV for hours can be stressful to our eyes. I’ve tried the Crizal Eyezen and I noticed that my eyes are more relaxed as I stare at the iPad used by doctor for her presentation compared to the regular eyeglasses I’m using. When asked of the difference from the multi-coated lenses available in the market, she said that Crizal Eyezen works against both the harmful blue light and UV rays while the multi-coated lenses only blocks the latter.

Crizal Eyezen enhances the digitally connected lifestyle of the millennial generation” says Essilor Philippines general manager Dr. Emelita Roleda. “While ordinary glasses help you see the world, Eyezen enhance the way you live in it. With clearer, sharper vision, you can connect to the digital world better, while getting protection for your eyes at the same time.
Crizal Eyezen lenses are available in clear and Crizal Transitions at leading optical shops nationwide.

Coca-Cola Launches Taste The Feeling campaign and New Brand Ambassadors

Last week, Coca-Cola has officially launched their newest globally synchronized campaign, Taste The Feeling. This campaign features everyday moments having the product at the center of communication. Coca-cola is known for its brand of storytelling and it still is evident in their new ads.
“Taste the Feeling makes Coca-Cola the hero of our advertising again. The new campaign is all about capturing both the functional and emotional traits of Coca-Cola – the uplifting refreshment of drinking our product and how having a Coke makes any moment more memorable and more special,” says Stephan Czypionka, Vice President for Marketing, Coca-Cola Philippines.

Coca-Cola also revealed that, instead of hiring an advertising photographer, they got one from the fashion industry this time. And it's not just that! They partnered with three independent artists and collaborated with renowned songwriter and producer. So just imagine the rich visual imagery and in every scene completed by an intimate music while you go through everyday stories, feelings, and experiences that each one share while enjoying an ice-cold Coca-Cola!

During the launch, Coca-Cola took us to a trip down memory lane as we watch some of their most remarkable advertisements. It felt truly nostalgic seeing the commercials I grew up with. Who would ever forget that ad where Nikki Gil hands out a bottle of Coke as she walks down the street while singing (all together now) "Sana'y masabi sa awit kong ito lahat ng ninanais nitong puso ko...."? How about the Coke beat commercial? That's epic! We used to play it during breaktime and you're not "cool" if you can't follow it! Well, those are just few of the many.

Along with their new campaign is the introduction of a new set of brand ambassadors. Everyone was set to a surprise as some of the hottest love teams in the country appeared on stage. James Reid, Liza Soberano & Enrique Gil, Enchong Dee & Janella Salvador, and Bailey May & Yllona Garcia were there to grace the event. Completing the 10 brand ambassadors are Nadine Lustre, Alden Richards & Maine Mendoza who, unfortunately, weren't able to join us that night.

And to cap off the night, performances from Gary Valenciano, Morisette Amon, Sam Concepcion, and DJ Mars Miranda's playlist set the venue in a party mood. It was indeed a fun and festive night!
