With the wider reach and accessibility of internet through wifi or data plans now, do you still hear people say "text kita"? Not as often as several years back right? Or even if you hear them say "text kita", most likely you'll get a message on your messenger app instead. Yup, that's right! Personally speaking, I rarely use text messaging already. If you check my inbox, all you will see are just text messages from spammers and telcos.

There are so many apps available out there but what do you usually hear people say nowadays? Viber kita

With more and more people using Viber, the leading communications app in the Philippines has celebrated yet another milestone as it recently hit 25 million unique registered users nationwide. That's more than half of the internet users in the country!

“We truly appreciate the overwhelming and continued support from our Filipino users and we’re committed to making Viber even better through local content and partnerships that celebrate and empower Filipinos and be part of their daily lives,” said Crystal Gonzalez, Viber Regional Head for Southeast Asia.

What I, and most Filipino users, love about Viber are the group chats and the stickers. Within my circle of friends, I have about more than 10 group chats - different people with different interests. I also love using Viber stickers because I can express my thoughts in a cute and creative way. And I believe it's not just me because, according to Viber, Filipinos send over 44 million stickers through the app! Among the most downloaded sticker packs are Violet, Freddie, Yango, LegCat, Noy Pi, Becky Vibe, and Vibe On

In addition to our favorite custom Pinoy stickers, Viber has also launched new sticker packs featuring two of the most celebrated and sensational personalities in the country. To all who have been hoping for progress and change, #PartnerForChange sticker pack is now up for download featuring our beloved President Rodrigo Duterte. Viber shared that they've partnered with the Presidential Communications Office on this project so these are 100% Duterte-approved!

#GVonViber Sticker Pack, on the other hand, features the legendary Filipino musician/singer/songwriter, Gary V, and his hugot songs like "Hataw Na,” “Shout For Joy,” “Take Me Out of the Dark,” “Di Bale Na Lang,” “Sana MaulitMuli,” “Eto Na Naman,” and many more.

During the launch in Valkyrie Nightclub at The Palace, Gary V was present where he entertained the guests together with his son, Gab Valenciano. Here's the live broadcast of their energetic performance during that night:
