Tom Rodriguez shares how he benefits from Crizal Prevencia

Contrary to many's belief, wearing eyeglasses isn't just for those with poor eyesight. In this age of technology where most of us can't take our eyes off of our gadgets, the more we have to wear one to protect them from the harmful blue light that these devices emit.

I have been wearing eyeglasses for years now, but having just a regular multicoated lens doesn't really free my eyes from the stress caused by staring at my laptop for hours working or watching my favorite TV series or movies on my mobile phone. This has just been realized when I get to try Essilor's Crizal Prevencia lenses. While it boasts features that other lenses do not have, Crizal Prevencia's main difference is its Harmful Blue Light Protection. Same as me, you may not understand what this feature does and you'll probably realize it as soon as you've tried it yourself. Comparing it with my regular eyeglasses, I noticed that my vision gets warmer, thus making my eyes feel more relaxed no matter how long I use my gadgets.

Crizal® Prevencia™ uses E-SPF® and Lightscan™ Technology which offers complete front and back protection and selective filtering of harmful blue light from devices and the sun that can cause long-term damage, such as cataracts and Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD). At the same time, it lets in good light that regulates sleep and mood and boosts brain activity. It also provides complete protection from glare, scratches, smudges, dust, water, UV rays and harmful blue light.

As Essilor launch their most technology advanced protective lenses yet, they also introduce to the public their newest brand ambassador, Tom Rodriguez

Not known to many, Tom is also a digital artist and a programmer. In his spare time, especially in between shoots, Tom spends his time doing sketches on his tablet or creating a mobile app. Spending hours with his eyes glued to his gadgets exposes them to the harmful blue light and UV rays that may cause damage to his vision.

“Belonging to a technically-savvy generation and with my love of creating digital art, I cannot do without my phone and digital devices. What’s more, my active lifestyle also keeps me under the sun a lot,” shares the 29-year old actor. “It’s quite alarming to know how being exposed to UV rays and blue light can cause long-term damage. With Crizal® Prevencia™, I can protect my vision, and also prevent blue light from harming my eyes.”
Tom Rodriguez, actor/digital artist/aspiring app designer

With Tom joining their family, Essilor General Manager Dr. Emelita Roleda hopes to convince more Filipinos to use protective lenses and promote healthy vision in the country. As they say, prevention is always better than cure.

Group Adventure is more fun in Boracay!

For most, summer is all about spending a quick break from our busy lives and having quality time with the people that matters to you. For sun seekers and party lovers, the beautiful island of Boracay has always been a top destination choice.

Boracay has so much to offer that is best enjoyed with your craziest friends. I've been to the island quite a few times already but our itinerary this time is all new to me. We got to experience some of the most exciting things you can do in this beautiful island:

Island Hopping

When in Boracay, we were only after the view and the parties. This time, we were able to explore the equally beautiful islands nearby and discover the life underneath the crystal clear waters.

Paraw Sailing

When I heard that we'll go Paraw Sailing in Boracay, I had to search it in Google because I didn't have an idea of what it is. When we got to the resort, we were told that paraw sailing is scheduled around 5pm because it's best to do it when the sun is about to set. And true enough, there's nothing more relaxing, or romantic if you're with your special someone, than chasing the stunning sunset while enjoying the traditional sailboat ride.

Parasailing

This, for me, is the highlight of our trip. I was worried at first because of my fear of heights. Surprisingly, I totally forgot about it as soon as we got released hundred feet up in the air towed by a speed boat. The view from up above is really breathtaking!

These activities are fun yet can be exhausting as well so having a comfortable place to stay is definitely nice to have. During our three-day trip, we stayed at Le Soleil de Boracay. Strategically located at Station 2, Le Soleil is right at the center of all the happenings in the island.

Despite being close to the party places, we didn't really hear loud music from our room. So if you want a sound sleep at night, ask for the rooms that's just a few steps away from the reception. We got their Premiere Room that is just a located at the ground level and is facing the pool. The room has two queen size beds and is spacious enough to house three guests. They also got towels and toiletries in the bathroom so that will save you so much space in your bags.

The resort also has their own pool in case you want to go for a dip that's more private and less crowded. Their restaurant offers buffet that is, I heard, one of the bests in the island. For only around Php400, you may already enjoy unlimited food including shrimps, oysters, mussels, and crabs!

Overall, the fun activities that we've tried, the hotel that is really so inviting, and the hotel staff that are nice and friendly made this adventure definitely one for the books. Big shoutout to my dearest friends who made this trip more memorable, MJ de Leon of www.lifestylehub.net and Gus Villa of www.gusvilla.com. Photos may not be enough to show how much we enjoyed our short but sweet stay at Le Soleil de Boracay so here's a short vlog of what's happened in our Boracay trip:
