OPPO F5 Youth Unboxing and First Impressions

Designed for the younger generation, the OPPO F5 Youth is equipped with flagship level features that is available at a much more affordable price. Just recently, I finally got my hands on this smartphone and I can say that, so far, I am loving it!

WHAT'S IN THE BOX

  • OPPO F5 Youth Unit
  • Clear hard case back cover
  • USB Cable and adaptor
  • Headset
  • SIM Ejector

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

OPPO truly is the Selfie Expert! Being known as such, of course, the first thing I tried upon unboxing it is its selfie camera. And as expected, it did an amazing job in delivering really good selfie shots. I'm missing the wide-angle front cam of OPPO F3 though.

With the unit itself, I love that it's slim and it's aluminum body gives it a classy feel. Also a plus factor for me is the huge display, which is perfect for watching videos, playing games, and multi-tasking. The fingerprint scanner at the back is also easy to reach and slightly bigger so it's easier to locate it without even flipping your phone (yeah, I have to do that on my other phone). It's also got a 3.5mm jack for headset and a microUSB 2.0 for charging and USB OTG.

What I don't like though in this phone are the speakers because I tend to cover it with my hand when in landscape mode. I can flip it anytime anyway so it's not really that much of a big deal I must say.

Lastly and it kind of surprised me, the face recognition feature is really responsive. In just a split second, I am able to unlock my phone real quick. My other phone (that is priced way much higher than OPPO F5 Youth) takes about a second or two (or sometimes forever) before it recognizes my face and unlock my phone.

Overall, I'm really satisfied with the OPPO F5 Youth. With its price range, I think you'll get the bang for your buck. :)

PRICE DROP!

OPPO has recently announced that the OPPO F5 Youth will now be available in the market for only Php 12,990. That's a thousand-peso cheaper when it was first introduced to the Philippine market!

There may be a lot of cheaper Android phones out there but the problem is that they tend to slow down after weeks of usage. So far, with 2 weeks of usage, my OPPO F5 Youth still performs really well and delivers what is expected of it.
