Be Able With Avene

So I was invited for an interview last month (thanks to Rodel of nognoginthecity.com) for a skincare product that is to be launched in the Philippines. Along with 3 beautiful girls, we shared our individual stories of dealing with skin breakouts. Guys do get breakouts too so skin regimen isn’t just for ladies!

Breakouts has always been my issue. I can’t remember a day that my face got cleared of pimples back then. I’m a "late bloomer” so they appeared when I was already working. Thank God I rarely get breakouts now, but when I do, it takes forever before it gets cleared! It’s definitely a hassle for me as a trainer because I deal with people everyday. I’m not saying that your face is what defines who you are as a person, but, admit it, you’ll somehow feel less confident when you have a lot growing in your face. Of course, I want to look presentable whenever I stand and talk in front of a crowd. It almost came to a point that I gave up because I’ve tried almost every product that came out in the market and nothing worked on my skin. Ok. I take that back. Some worked but pimples just kept on coming back so I have to switch to a different product every now and then. I even tried that "laundry soap” out of desperation!haha I just can’t find the perfect and permanent solution for my skin.

So, anyway, here’s what happened during the interview:

Avene gave me a whole set of Avene Cleanance Expert, their newest product especially made for acne-prone skin. It hydrates and mattifies the skin and is also good for people with sensitive skin.

Avene's Cleanance Expert contains three active ingredients:

• Diolenyl - limits the risk of bacterial proliferation, reduces redness and helps eliminate spots
• X-Pressin - reduces blackheads and smoothens skin texture
• Monolaurin - regulates the hyperproduction of sebum (oil) to create a matte finish

Finding out the contents of this solution, it makes me more excited to try it! Aside from pimples, blackheads and skin oil are some other problems I'm facing everyday. So after a month of trying Avene, I can say that, so far, I’m seeing good results. Here are my thoughts on each:

STEP 1: Eau Thermale Avene Cleanance Gel

It is light and you can definitely feel your face moisturized after washing. I’ve learned that there’s a facial wash for specific skin types so it’s better if you consult an expert before using one.

STEP 2: Eau Thermale Thermal Spring Water

This one is my favorite! I’ve tried other facial mists before and all they do is to make you feel cool and refreshed. The Avene Thermal Spring Water is different though. I use it whenever I feel dry especially our weather lately is kind of humid. What I’ve noticed is that, minutes after it dries out, my face is not just moisturized but it also became smooth to touch! No kidding!

STEP 3: Eau Thermale Avene Cleanance Lotion-Toner

According to the derma, it balances the skin’s Ph level. What I've noticed is that my skin is matified after using it. They said it also tightens skin pores. I believe that may take time to see results. 

STEP 4: Avene Cleanance Expert

I love this one too! I have tried using moisturizers before and my problem is it feels heavy on my face so I just stopped using it. The Avene Cleanance Expert felt like I didn’t put anything on my face at all. Another thing that I like about it is that it is hypoallergenic and made specially for acne prone skin. It also treats dark spots and blackheads, which are my problems too.
