After joining Protege, we've seen Mikoy in some shows in GMA and last year, in one of the hit musical plays, Kung Paano Ako Naging Leading Lady, where he played as the mad scientist. And just last April 28, Mikoy launched his first single at The Music Hall in Metrowalk entitled Pusong Hindi Makatulog.
Music is Mikoy's first love. He is fond of sharing his experiences through his compositions. He started writing Pusong Hindi Makatulog two years ago but he never got to finish it until recently. For him, his songs are more personal and intimate. Hoping for the success of this launch, Mikoy is looking forward to releasing an album that will showcase his compositions within the year.
Admittedly though, Mikoy is still very far from his dreams. The release of his first single is just his stepping stone for something bigger that awaits him in the music industry. More than anything, Mikoy is already happy sharing his compositions to everyone. Having more people relate to his songs and making a difference in other people's lives is more rewarding than getting recognized in musical competitions or receiving awards for his songs, which aren't in his priorities now.
Listening to him sharing his thoughts, I'm sure this guy has so much to offer given the break he deserves in the industry. At a young age, his maturity reflects on the way he thinks and the way he conveys his message through his songs. He's very articulate and his dreams are endless.
Pusong Hindi Makatulog is now playing in some local radio stations and is already available in Spotify, iTunes, and Deezer.
