Coke Studio PH: Coca-Cola's Refreshing Take on OPM

Last Saturday was a celebration of OPM's finest as Coca-Cola gathered some of the best bands in the country. Mostly millenials, a lot of music enthusiasts and fans patiently lined up at the entrance of SMX Convention Center in Pasay just to party all night and witness their favorite artists perform on stage.

Much more exciting surprises are yet to unfold as Coke officially launches the Coke Studio and partners with artists to come up with a collaboration you (may) have not seen before.

Coke Studio is actually a music TV show that aims to bring out the best of OPM by collaborating with Filipino artists of different genres.
“Coke has always been about encouraging personal expression among the younger generation of teens, and what better way to unite them but through a universal language, which is music. This is what Coke Studio is all about. We are making music our tool of choice to connect with teens,”
Stephan Czypionka, Coca-Cola Philippines Vice President for Marketing

Old meets new. Pro meets emerging. Mainstream meets indie.

Now, this is something we should all look forward to. Seeing your favorite artists, or names you’ve probably heard of, try something that is out of their comfort zone is definitely a refreshing treat for all you music lovers.

Among the artists who will be showcasing their music in Coke Studio include Noel Cabangon, Curtismith, Moonstar88, Jensen and the Flips, Sandwich, BP Valenzuela, Gabby Alipe and John Dinopol of Urbandub, The Ransom Collective, Abra, Gracenote, singer-composer Ebe Dancel, Autotelic, Franco, and singer-songwriter Reese Lansangan.

Hosted by OPM powerhouse Raymund Marasigan and Buddy Zabala, Coke Studio airs on TV5 every Saturday at 7pm. Episodes are also posted on their YouTube channel: Coke Studio Philippines.
